It’s an opportunity to be part of something special.About the roleGovernance Support Assistant within Haleon’s Corporate Secretariat. This role will primarily support the governance and operation of the Haleon plc Board and Committees, as well as providing administrative support to the Company Secretary and the team.This role reports to the Company Secretary but with day-to-day oversight from the Deputy Company Secretary (Governance).Key ResponsibilitiesBoard and Committee Support

  • Provide Board and Committee support including drafting meeting agendas, liaising with internal stakeholders as required, preparing the packs and distribution of materials ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality
  • Management of Board and Committee meeting schedules
  • Assist with the forward-looking agenda planners for the Board and Committees keeping them accurate and up to date
  • Management of Board and Committee meeting logistics and itineraries including supporting directors with travel arrangements
  • Coordinate arrangements for Board off-sites and international visits including Board dinners
  • Assist with the management of the Board and Committee action log and decision log
  • Assist with organizing Board inductions and Board training as required
  • Maintain the minute books for the Board and Committees
  • Management of NED fees and expenses ensuring the payment of fees and the processing of NED expenses where requested.
  • Management of the Board Intelligence portal
  • Arranging Board and Committee dates at least 2 years ahead, in collaboration with the Deputy Company Secretary and other relevant internal stakeholders
  • Ad hoc tasks as may be required to support the efficient governance and operation of the Board and Committees
Administrative Support
  • Provide Executive Assistant support to the Company Secretary, in particular, diary management
  • Provide administrative support to the Company Secretarial team in particular the payment of invoices and expenses
  • Assist with the administration of the year end director confirmations including circulation, collation of data and maintaining records
Key Skills, Capabilities and Experience
  • Board support or Company Secretarial experience preferred but not essential. Will also consider an experienced Executive Assistant.
  • Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written, spoken and presentational (including the ability to communicate clearly and confident with the most senior level of management at Haleon)
  • Self-sufficient, confident and proactive individual who is prepared to take a hands-on approach to managing their workload and using their own initiative.
  • Ability to build credible and effective relationships, be seen as a trusted business partner, maintaining respect and pragmatism in dealings with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible to changing requirements
  • Ability to work in a team and in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure/tight deadlines
  • Excellent IT proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint
