Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of the worlds best known health and fitness brands based in Camberley as FP&A Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria & Switzerland).This role is newly created and its main purpose is to ensure that sales and operations teams in the region are partnered with effectively to deliver accurate, insightful and on time financial and KPI reporting, budgeting and forecasting which aids decisionmaking across the region.In addition this role works closely with the shared services function to review core accounting entries and takes the lead on tax and audit queries for the region.The RoleReporting to the EMEA FD, the FP&A Manager will take responsibility for:

  • Preparation of the DACH countries forecast and budget with the operational teams (Sales, GM, Opex).
  • Perform planning activities for purchase price variances, freight outbound cost, inventory and distribution cost, and seek for areas of savings and make proposals for cost optimization and aid decision making.
  • Produce materials for monthly reviews, follow ups and approvals of actuals for same focus groups, providing commentary to managers.
  • Control and follow- up of the marketing expenses of the DACH business.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our financial processes and use of our SAP system
  • Manage and coordinate Cash management activities of the DACH entities.
  • Prepares and reviews month end P&L on a timely and provides adequate commentary on variances.
  • Balance sheet accounts reconciliation of the region entities. Ensures that adequate documentation is maintained and loaded for all transactions / JEs.
  • Prepares and uploads month end Journals related to payrolls, freight, BD, warranty, bonus, and other expense accruals.
  • Review of overall expense with scrutiny of month-end accruals required.
  • Review and manage the A/P invoices approval, ensuring vendor invoices have been properly approved and recorded, A/P ageing report has been reviewed for payments, any open bill issues have been resolved.
  • Local Statutory fillings, VAT returns and intrastat preparation as well as other tax declarations such as CIT.
  • Primary point of contact for external and tax consultants. Assist with financial and tax audits when required
Your ProfileAs the successful FP&A Manager you will be an experienced finance professional with either a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or international equivalent/qualified by experience.You will need to be an ambitious and career driven finance professional who is a passionate business partner, able to demonstrate adeptness at engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all times and able to provide detailed and accurate reportingin both Excel and associated reporting tools.Due to the regional focus and stakeholders fluent German language skills are essential for this role.The CompanyOur client is one of the worlds leading health and fitness brands.
