Job Description

Are you passionate about involving children and their families to make key decisions and safe plans for their childs welfareDo you have experience of multi-agency working and sharing expertise to achieve best outcomes for children and young peopleCan you see yourself facilitating and chairing meetings with familiesYes Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!We are looking for a further Family Group Conference Coordinator (FGC) to join our small, well-established team at Surrey who will be thorough in all aspects of work and will help us to continue our proven track record and achieve future targets.Working as part of the Early Help Hub you will deliver a critical front facing service that supports the effective delivery of the right services at the right time for our children, young people and their families and in line with our thresholds as identified in our Effective Family Resilience document. You will be co-located within the Hub in Woking with colleagues from supporting agencies, delivering a partnership approach to services.The FGC team work with children and their families who are struggling with everyday life, children who may be at risk of coming into care, children in care and care leavers; anywhere where a plan involving the wider family and friends networks will be of benefit to the safety and wellbeing of the child or young person.   • Are qualified and experienced in working with children and families
  • Are confident in facilitating and chairing meetings and managing conflict
  • Have a clear understanding and experience of Family Group Conferencing, application of legislation and key associated principles
  • Are confident in working within a multi-agency environment, delivering and willing to improve upon effective direct work interventions with families
  • Have experience and ability to build positive relationships with children and young people quickly by understanding their lived experiences in order to advocate on their behalf
  • Can remain focused on your own continuous professional development
  • Strive to share learning and collaborate with practitioners and multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes for children and their families
