Job Description

ROLEEmbedded IOT EngineerLOCATION - SurreyTERM- PermanentSALARY- £35,000 - 50,000 per annum dependent on experience My client works within the Electronics design sector/ IOTThe Embedded IOT Engineer will ideally have the following background:

  • Real time C/C++ software/embedded SW design/IoT and development on a variety of platforms and environments including Linux and Microsoft Windows
  • Software development experience in Linux, cross-platform development on MS Windows operating systemsand/or an enthusiasm for learning these and other environments.
  • Understanding of (or strong desire to understand) good software design, coding and documentation practices
  • Excellent debug and troubleshooting skills
  • communication interfaces and protocols CAN, Modbus TCP, UDP, TCP/IP, etc.)
The Embedded IOT Engineer role will involve:
  • Analyzes functional requirements, assesses feasibility and translates to a product design
  • Participates in and/or manages existing software product improvement projects
  • Develops concepts and architecture for new software products
  • Writes and tests protocols and design verification testing for company product lines. Conducts unit testing. Resolves issues as they arise from testing.
