Business Development Director, South East England - competitive salaryOur client, an innovative business covering all aspects of ecology and biodiversity are seeking a Business Development Director to join on a permanent basis in their offices in the South East of the country. The business specialise in terrestrial ecology, marineservices, freshwater ecology and arboriculture consultancy and this role will form part of the senior Leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO.Responsible for the commercial strategy and development of the business, the successful candidate will ensure that all functions of the organisation are aligned to meet its strategic and commercial objectives including maintaining and nurturing existing customerrelationships whilst developing new customers across a variety of sectors.Included in some of the significant role responsibilities are:*Ensuring a robust sales process to deliver strong customer engagement and internal accountability for sales including generating consistent cross-selling opportunities for the wider business.*Monitoring market trends and large infrastructure projects, developing capture plans to ensure early engagement with contractors.*Accountability for building a sales pipeline to support the ambitions growth plans of the business.*Leading and scaling the sales, business development and customer success teams*Establishing strong, positive business relationships with strategic leaders, key executives and senior-level decision-makers within designated key clients, delivering significant revenue targets in line with the key business strategies.The ideal candidate must be highly proactive and results focused with the ability to influence others within the team. You will have gained a Bachelors degree from a business discipline or equivalent or ideally Environmental Science or Ecology associated andbe a self-motivated individual who can work both individually and as part of a team.Business Development Director, South East England - competitive salary
