Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable childrenWould you like to work in a friendly, supportive team to reduce the barriers to learning for pupils with SENDOur students aged 14-16 have not been successful in mainstream, SEMH Special and/or Short Stay Schools, but are able to thrive in our highly flexible and inclusive provision. The role of the Practitioner within ALP will present an interesting and rewarding opportunity for the right individual to use their knowledge, skills and experience to support young people to learn.The delivery of the academic curriculum will depend on the readiness of each individual to learn, which allows for a unique approach to delivering a personalised curriculum, designed to meet the specific needs of the group.You will work as part of a team to deliver a full-time education provision. This will involve the delivery of 1:1 and small group delivery of a planned Curriculum, (Including PSHE, and vocational subjects) this involves leading and taking part in engagement activities and supporting the delivery of an accreditation programme. To be shortlisted to interview for this position, your application will clearly evidence:

  • Experience or Knowledge of working with students with SEND and/or complex needs.
  • Experience of delivering support within Education settings.
  • Passion to make a positive impact on lives and education of vulnerable young people.
  • Positive and creative approach to solving problems.
  • Full UK driving licence.
