Job Description

Job Title: Workforce and Operations PlannerLocation- Sunderland - fully office basedSalary: £32,000paScope of workThis role will be responsible for developing and maintaining staff and production plans to meet our clients SLA. Ensuring we have the right number of skilled heads to fulfil the demands of the operation.Main Duties:

  • Preparation and delivery of workforce and production plans delivery including volatility with obtaining skilled staff to deliver the service for the required clients.
  • Planning daily/ weekly/monthly production tasks and schedules accordingly to customers’ requirements. Review them on daily basis and re-schedule when necessary.
  • Monitor daily production performance to resolve any potential issues in a timely manner.
  • Engage and work with operations management to ensure work force planning priorities are aligned with the ops KPIs - must be able to constructively challenge management
  • Lead staffing meetings with operational management, providing a resource focused view.
  • Review and analyse trends in data, to help build assumptions to plan effectively.
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of the operational processes amongst team members and that such processes are conducted to a high standard.
  • Stock management. (Managing level of raw materials required for production, stock call offs, stock orders; Price negotiations; Benchmarking; Dealing with variance of suppliers, prior ordering the stock, to achieve the best prices and lead times).
Skills/Experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a work force management scheduling or production/capacity planning role
  • Must have strong analytical skills with proven experience in analysing complex data
  • High level of computer skills
