Job Description

The CompanyEnterprise business is seeking to recruit a Technical Specialist with strong Microsoft Office 365 experience.The RoleWorking within the IT Operations division as a Technical Specialist, you will bring expertise and specialism in Office 365 providing first class 3rd line, ITIL aligned support and project work while also helping shape strategy. You’ll work amongst an experienced and motivated group of technicians across various disciplines and levels, demonstrating expertise across several Office 365 solutions such as Exchange Online, Azure Active Directory and Intune. Specifically your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in a matrix organization with Service Delivery Managers, Technical Specialists and Infrastructure Analysts for projects and BAU activities within agreed scope and timeframe.
  • Act as a trusted advisor / SME on technical standards, best practice in line with group values and business requirements.
  • Designing architecture with Microsoft messaging and cloud technologies that meets technical, security, and business needs for apps/workloads. Office 365 and Exchange enterprise migrations, Intune, Azure Identity lifecycle management, AIP etc
  • Provide input to the Enterprise Office 365 strategies and the platform roadmap and deliver Governance for various Office 365 applications, such as data retention.
  • Support the delivery of large scale End User Compute and Delivery programs across the various EUC technologies such as Mobility, Office365, SBO, Teams, Identity Management.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of Office 365 processes and procedures and empower IT Operations team to support Office 365 applications.
  • Represent the Office 365 platform in Change, Problem, and Incident Management and act as a liaison on strategic projects as assigned, as well as perform capacity management.
  • Design solutions for multiple businesses within a single tenant.
  • Develop and maintain technology roadmaps to ensure solutions remain leading edge in terms of functionality, security, performance and availability.
  • Delivery of 3rd line operational support for IT services including on-call cover for our 24/7 business
  • Plan and execute changes in accordance with Service Delivery Management and Change Management policies and processes
  • Identify training needs and opportunities to ensure the organization is able to effectively manage and utilize technologies
  • Documenting procedures, processes and high and low level designs
  • Research and keep up-to-date with current and emerging technologies,
  • Work collaboratively with support teams/colleagues, suppliers and group to deliver technical solutions per business requirements
  • The RequirementsBeing proficient in providing 3rd line support of Office 365, you will be experienced in:
  • Designing, managing and maintaining InTune
  • Scripting and automating tasks with Powershell, Flow, LogicApps, etc...
  • Managing and supporting Exchange Online
  • Supporting and administering Microsoft Azure Active Directory including AD synchronization (AD connect)
  • Identity management from multiple AD Sources
  • Office 365 Security, Compliance and Protection (DLP, e-discovery, Encryption, Labels, Sensitivity Policies, Azure etc)
  • Manage Office 365 Groups / Teams using automation / scripting
  • Advanced Security including Intune, Conditional Access, AIP, ATP
  • Authentication methods
  • Migrations from on-prem/tenants
  • In addition you will possess strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for End User Computing and Mobility solutions and technologies, keeping current with industry trends and emerging technologies. Though applications from Office 365 would be preferred, candidates who have broader Microsoft infrastructure, including O365 experience will be welcomed for those who want to become a specialist in this arena.
