CDS Recruitment Limited are working with our client who are looking to recruit a Dynamic Technical Sales Engineer on a permanent basis. As a technical sales engineer, youll use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and supporton a range o the client company solutions for which a certain level of expertise is needed. You will also assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new customers from a technical perspective. As the technical sales engineer you will be the key point of contact for customers, answering queries, providing technical advice and provide both pre and post-sales advice for customers. Youll liaise regularly with other members of the Renewable Energy teamand colleagues from a range of departments and with support from the engineering department you will produce budget and firm proposals for submission to the customer. Essential requirements - * Knowledge of design requirements to comply with current EU/UKCA legislation (machine directives, CE certifications) * Knowledge of current EU design standards * Knowledge of PED (pressure equipment directive) * Knowledge of ATEX * Systems engineering * Commercial awareness (pricing, scoping, delivery program, legal awareness) * Communication skills, including the ability to explain clearly, listen to the feedback of clients - and relay this to colleagues * The ability to negotiate with and influence others * Teamworking skills * Commercial awareness * develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements * persuade clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery * calculate client quotations and administer client accounts * provide pre-sales technical assistance and system education * work on after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required * analyse costs and sales * meet regular quotation targets and coordinate prospects * make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs * be computer literate and able to use a wide range of software * understand construction or production methods and processes * be confident with numbers If you are a Qualified, experienced Technical Sales Engineer looking for a new challenge please click apply now.
