With a strong emphasis on research, creativity, and inclusivity, they are dedicated to shaping a sustainable future througheducation and collaboration.Sustainability Officer – The Role:Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Officer to join their dedicated team. The Sustainability Officer will support various initiatives concerning Environmental, Sustainability, and Net Zero aspects within the Universityestate. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of strategy documents and action plans, as well as playing a part in establishing strategic performance indicators. The goal is to assess carbon management across different scopes anddemonstrate the achievement of service objectives/targets in a broad sense.Sustainability Officer - Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to developing a roadmap for carbon emission reduction to achieve the Universitys net-zero goals by 2030- Analyse and recommend alternative power sources for grant funding- Communicate complex information to engage stakeholders, promoting resource efficiency and cost savings- Benchmark consumption data and manage the Universitys carbon footprint- Establish a network of carbon/green champions to drive environmental improvements- Lead grant funding bids for carbon reduction projects- Manage the Environmental Management System to the Ecocampus Standard, including budgets and forecasting- Research new environmental technologies for cost reduction and performance improvementSustainability Officer - You:- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject- Experience in creating, evolving, overseeing, and directing projects related to environmental engineering and carbon reduction- Experience in waste and environmental management, encompassing site-wide and multi-departmental waste auditingSustainability Officer – Benefits:- Competitive salary package, commensurate with your experience and skills- A generous holiday entitlement- Employee benefits packageTo submit your CV for this exciting Sustainability Officer opportunity, please click ‘Apply now!
