Job Description

The Opportunity:Nigel Wright are excited to be supporting a manufacturing plant looking to appoint an experienced Support Technician.The Role:As part of position you will required to undertake the following tasks

  • Providing IT support, prioritizing and responding quickly and effectively to crisis situations
  • Provide help desk assistance
  • Utilize Ticketing system to manage queue of tasks
  • Upgrade and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Performing system backups and recovery for network
  • Resolving hardware and software related problems
  • Responsible for hardware and software inventory list
  • Create and maintain IT documentation/training
  • Work and assist System Administrator with projects and other tasks
Key Requirements:
  • Solid understanding of VMware
  • Exceptional knowledge of all Microsoft Operating systems and Products, including Windows Server Administration, DHCP, DNS, AD
  • Knowledge of networking models and protocols
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience and repair
  • Working knowledge of PCs hardware and operating systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues (peripherals, hardware, software)
  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN concept, major networking components, network operating systems and basic computer hardware components
  • Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance of IT hardware and software
Working knowledge of the following:
  • Windows 10 & 11
  • Office 365 Suite
  • Browser setting and configurations (IE, Edge & Chrome)
  • Network and domain environment
  • Smartphone and tablet devices
  • Printer Devices (Local & Network)
  • Windows 2016/2019
  • Active Directory
