Job Description

MTrecs new career opportunityAn outstanding opportunity has arisen for our client who are specialists in their market sector. They are recruiting for a permanent Supplier Integration Engineer.The Job youll doSupport central by developing global Supplier Logistics directive and interaction processes by demanding locations requirements.

  • Represent logistics requirements and give recommendation in supplier decisions processes by assessing supplier logistics capabilities (e.g, capacities, reliability, performance) and business case calculation (total landed costs), considering tooling.
  • Ensures full supplier connectivity according supply chain standards documented in Logistics Directive after supplier decision in regional/global sourcing board (e.g. EDI, Vendor Capacities, Label, TMS, etc.)
  • Set up PPAP and send to supplier, follow-up PPAP and align with R&D, PUR and QM, inform supplier about approval/disapproval of PPAP and follow-up PPAP in case of disapproval.
  • Interface with Engineering / CoC to ensure ramp-up from sample to mass production
  • Daily Operations & Supplier Performance Management:
  • Maintain relevant Logistics Supplier Master Data (e.g. Vendor Capacity Data on Part-No level, Supplier lead time etc.) to ensure right capacities and ongoing performance.
  • Manage continuously supplier delivery performance by monitoring KPIs and taking right actions according our KPS methods guideline (PDCA).
  • Support central by developing supplier performance measurement system with concrete demand.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and alignment by managing global supply demand and capacities of (shared) supplier with other locations (e.g. avoid capacity bottleneck situation by levelling and allocating (open) purchasing orders)
  • Ensure and continuously enhance supplier capacity agility and reduce lead-times to pro-actively manage changing demand while maintaining high levels of performance, quality and efficiencies
  • Proactively identify risks in our local/global external supply base (Pave 2) to mitigate line stops and special freights by early warning and setting right informations and actions.
  • Participate and contribute local SIOP process, e.g. get operational input for critical topics, provide information out of supplier escalation meetings etc.)
  • Maintain master data and inventory management of toolings.
  • Follow-up shots and lifetime of tool to identify replacement/refurbishment and trigger replacement.
  • Develop annual budget according to demand planning figures.
  • Place order request in SRM and send tool order to supplier to ensure toolings are available at right time.
  • Ensure tooling labelling process (order labels/plates, get proof of correct labelling from supplier etc.)
  • Book GR in the system, register tool in SAP and ensure that all scheduling agreements are linked to the tool.
  • Manage Pave 2 supplier escalation: Coordinate and execute counter actions with escalated suppliers, track and report their status and organize follow-ups (aligned with other locations by shared supplier).
  • Support regional SDA team/Purchasing by Pave 3 escalation and developing strategic supplier capacities by identified long term capacity bottlenecks.
  • Support central governance teams by continuously developing Tooling and Supplier Relationship/Performance processes with solutions.
About You
  • Have a strong Supply chain background.
  • Experience setting up PPAP with suppliers.
  • Experience in reducing lead times.
  • Experienced in supporting supply chain operations.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective and efficient supplier interaction and processes for direct materials and tollings to the defined principles
  • Organise and perform on-site visits with critical suppliers to strengthen supplier relationship and define measures and preventive actions (by international supplier with the support of regional supply chain teams).
