Job Description

Software Support EngineerAn exciting position has become available for a fulltime Software Support Engineer to join a friendly team based in Sunderland. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary. The role holder will provide full support to customers with particular emphasis on Financial software. The role will mainly be office (or Home) based but may include visits to customer sites. The main part of the job will be providing first class technical support to customers, quickly understanding the issue through good listening and questioning skills, and then providing a fully qualified response both verbally and backing it up with written communicationRole RequirementsEssential

  • A good knowledge of Sage 200, ideally a minimum of 2 years (preferably 3+) working with Sage 200 perhaps with another Business Partner, at Sage or other involvement.
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Desirable
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating environment.
  • Sage installation skills.
  • Sage report writing skills.
  • Extracting information/Query building skills.
  • Knowledge of Sage CRM and third-party products including products from Draycir, Sicon and Eureka or other Sage Community products.
  • A good knowledge of SQL
  • Role Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to customers.
  • This will mainly be focused around Financial software and in particular Sage 200 but may also include Sage CRM and third-party products such as Spindle, Credit Hound, various products from Sicon, Draycir and Eureka.
  • Keeping the company’s internal records up to date and providing customers with full information on the status of the Case via verbal and written communication.
