Our clientEnvision AESC are the worlds leading battery technology company and lithium-ion battery manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North Easts highest profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our batterymanufacturing plant in Sunderland.We are looking for an additional Control Systems Engineer to join the engineering team in order to support the current Battery Plant operation and development of a new world class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory. This is a unique opportunity tojoin one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplaceThe opportunityReporting to the Senior Engineer, you will have responsibility for the site energy centre and primary services including; compressed sir, chilled water & DI water plant, gas fired steam bolier & LTHW plant, clean/dry room, dehumidification and general HVACplant, LEV and VOC extract systems, fire detection and suppression. You will play a key role in support the existing facility whilst supporting the design specifications of mechanical services for the new plant development. You will play a key role in theperformance management of mechanical services, including the co-ordination and management of external contractors and contracts.About youAs an experienced Site Services Mechanical Engineer, you will have previous experience in managing HVAC, compressors, chillers, clean/dry room and steam boilers for a complex manufacturing site. With a minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering/building servicesor an equivalent subject, you will have experience of ATEX, HAZOP, LOLER, EPR & Legionella Management. With well developed communication skills, you will have the ability to translate complex engineering challenges throughout all levels of the plant. Withprevious experience in managing budgets and contract for external contractors you will have the ability to maximise performance across the site.This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly created Site Services Engineering team and play a key part in the development and optimisation of the mechanical services in one of the North Easts most exciting new plants.
