Job Description

OverviewOur client is a leading online gaming company which is growing rapidly and needs a number of .NET full stack developers to come onboard and join their phenomenal Software Platform teams, hosted on AWS Cloud Technologies. Their approach is different to manyof their competitors in that they produce all of their software themselves; in fact, just about every aspect of the company is managed in-house. They have created all of their own games and take pride in their technical innovation and the strength of the developmentand design teams who use cutting edge technologies to drive the business forward.What will you doOur client uses many technologies and will use the best tools for the job. At the very least, you can expect to work with the following technologies on a daily basis:

  • C# ASP.Net MVC (Framework & Core), Node.js
  • VueJs, TypeScript
  • AWS - Lambda, ECS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS (to name a few)
  • Docker, Terraform, Packer, TeamCity, GitHub
  • MSSQL, MySQL, Redis
Youll be using these tools to:
  • Develop full stack web applications
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs for their clients to consume
  • Create and maintain the background services that form the backbone of their platform
  • Innovate new features and capabilities
Do you need to be familiar with all of the tech listed above to apply Absolutely not, you will learn and grow your skills on the job.About youOur client looks for the following from their people:
  • Good communication. It sounds clich but things like being able to express your ideas clearly, talking to non-technical colleagues and effective feedback during code reviews are incredibly important.
  • A desire to learn. The platform team do a lot of things other companies dont, so there is a lot to learn. But thats a good thing as they dont want to stand still. They want people who want to improve themselves
  • Suggest improvements. Theyreconstantly looking to improve the way theydo things. From managing their workloads, to the way theydeliver theircode. Theyhave an open attitude to new ideas. If you dont like the way something is done all theyask is thatyou suggest a better way of doing it
  • Some experience of Technical Design
  • Mentoring more junior members of the team
  • Able to lead small teams on projects
  • Keep up with Industry trends.
  • Forward thinkingyet pragmatic with it.
