We are currently looking for a Senior Costing Officer to join our costing team.Based within the Finance Department at South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust, we are currently looking for an ambitious and committed candidate, who will play an important role in the development and production of patient level costing and service line reporting for the trust. The role is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career in NHS finance, and provides an opportunity to work within a small dedicated costing team and gain exposure to other finance functions, clinical and operational teams.Working with the Costing Finance Manager and Costing Accountant, the candidate will be required to support the production of national costing returns and service line reporting, whilst also providing costing information to support Trust planning, development and efficiencies. As an implementer of the costing transformation programme, the candidate will also be involved in the successful delivery of this project.Interested candidates should be AAT qualified, with an aspiration to complete a CCAB qualification. Applicants must be able to demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills with a proven track record of critical thinking and problem solving.
