Registered Childrens Home Manager - Sunderland - £40,000 - £45,000 - Full Time - Permanent Due to promotion of the existing postholder, an exciting opportunity has risen for an ambitious, inspirational, young person-centred Residential Manager to lead and manage our established and skilled team in the day to day running of a 5 bed childrens homein Sunderland. You must be able to register with Ofsted and must meet the following:-o NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management (Childrens Services) or the ability to complete the qualification within 18 months;o NVQ Level 3 in Childrens Residential Services;o Experience working in a residential childrens home environment holding either a Deputy or Registered Managers positionThe home provides medium to long-term placements for young people aged 13-18. They require an experienced Manager who has vision and an outward looking approach and who can demonstrate sound partnership practice, the ability to form lasting working relationshipswith staff, colleagues, management, professionals whilst always ensuring the needs, wishes and views of young people are placed at the heart of your practice.You must be resilient and committed to working through issues and challenges in a positive and solution-focussed way and have tenacity and passion to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people we serve.You will be required to maintain a child centred, competent and motivated staff team and to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to all staff which is focussed on ensuring the wellbeing of children in our care being at all times ambitiousabout supporting them to achieve excellent outcomes. You will be required to ensure that the companys policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively and creatively for the benefit of young people in our care.
