Job Description

Recruitment Consultant - Temps - (rec 2 rec ad)A rare opportunity has become available to join this successful team as a Recruitment Consultant covering Temp hires for our clients in Sunderland. No previous recruitment experience is required: full training will be provided, and personality is key! What does a Recruitment Consultant doActive Business Development, prospecting new clients in the Sunderland area. Youll need to be fearless as youll be contacting businesses to qualify if they would need their services, before prospecting them through to conversion. This could beachieved through telephone calls, sending over marketing information plus door knocking with merchandise. Sometimes youll be lucky, and it wont take much time at all to build the relationship, sometimes it can be a slower burn - but always worth it whenit pays off and you receive a permanent vacancy to work on.Negotiating fees and T&Cs for job vacancies to work on (youll be given lots of training and youll never be in the deep end!).Servicing your clients by searching for candidates to submit to your live vacancies. You post job adverts across the major job searching websites, plus have access to the company inhouse CV searching Database.Conducting candidate registrations and all compliance associated with this; youll interview each candidate. In addition, you will be checking their Right to Work in the UK and gaining references from their previous employers. This part of the roleis very administrative heavy - so you need to be meticulous and speedy!Using the company CRM to input client information and their ATS to record all activity against live vacancies. Once you have placed a candidate into a permanent role there is again a bit of Administration required to set the candidate up on thesystem and the client set up as a customer. Youll get speedier with time, but youll need to be able to manage your admin duties alongside achieving your sales activity. Great time management is key to be able to prioritise your workloadAccount Management for existing business; checking in on your candidates that you have placed to see how they are getting on in their role and conducting service reviews with line managers (this is the fun bit as you get to see your hard work payoff!).Why work in recruitment and for this clientRecruitment cannot be compared to any other type of job: it is the most varied role of all! Where else could you say that in one day youve interviewed/registered numerous candidates, completed sales calls, visited a client and received a permanent vacancyto work! On top of the variety, recruitment comes with a lot of autonomy where you have a great deal of input over your diary on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. The team in Sheffield is established and successful; The consultants will always offer advice and support to each other. They get their heads down and work hard, but love a good chat and bit of fun. The office can go from silent to loud in a heartbeat -just as erratic as the world of recruitment! The company are big on rewards: youll receive a competitive commission dependant on your performance, and if you aim for the sky you could secure a place on their Winners Trip; where all of the top performing consultants across the Group are given anall-expenses paid trip (previous trips have been to Thailand, Rio, Singapore and Mexico!).They offer very competitive benefits: youll receive 22 days Annual Leave (plus 8 days Bank Hols) as standard - but you have the opportunity to buy up to 8 days of Annual Leave each year. For every full year you work for the business your Annual Leave willincrease by 1 day. They also offer a day off for your Birthday separately as an extra treat! On top of this they also can offer Life Assurance (2x your salary), private healthcare cover, Medicash and Denplan, plus much more (all as salary sacrifice benefits).Who are they looking forExperience is not key here, its all about the person! Ideally the successful applicant would be able to demonstrate experience of working within a role where they are selling a product or a service - but this is not essential for the right person if youhave the ability to hit the ground running. The number one trait to be successful in recruitment is resilience and perseverance: in recruitment you face extreme highs but also extreme lows. There are times where you may have made a mistake - but thats fine, you learn for next time - but there aremostly times where the lows are outside of your control. Everyone in the team knows exactly how this feels, so they are all here to support you - but the ability to pick yourself up and believe in yourself is key. This role is extremely people orientated; client is key, but the company have a duty of care towards their workers as theyre our employees. Theyre looking for someone who thrives off talking to other people and genuinely cares for others.Youll need to have pace and tenacity - as you might have seen, theres a lot of components to recruitment so youll need a lot of energy to keep up with the pace! Most importantly, they are looking for a hard worker and strong team player who would never refuse to do something because its not part of their job description!Working hours are Monday-Friday between 8.30am-5:30pm (37.5 hours per week) with 1 hour unpaid lunch break. If you are considering starting a career in Recruitment - or the above has caught your eye - then apply! Likewise, if youre already working within Recruitment please do not hesitate to reach out for a confidential and no-obligations chat!
