Job Description

Our client are an established, rapidly expanding automotive giant currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Technician to join their team.This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of a rapidly growing marketplace.Overall Purpose:

  • To support the Quality Dept, positions are now available for experienced Quality Technicians with Automotive experience in a Tier 1 supplier to work as part of our QA shift teams.
Key Duties:
  • Fully proficient with IATF16949:2016.
  • Support the concern management process - deep dive to Root Cause using 8D and Quality tools.
  • Understanding of PFMEA and Control plans.
  • Perform, product and process audits (internal).
  • Generate technical and management reports.
  • Carry out inspections in line with relevant work instructions.
  • Validation activity.
  • XRAY Analysis.
  • Containment activities.
  • Taking responsibilities for decisions and outcomes.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact-based decisions.
  • Experience of IATF16949.
  • Experience/ understanding of IATF/TS core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - reporting throughout the business at all levels and with all functions will be required.
  • Knowledge of APIS software (Desirable).
  • Excellent PC Skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working within automotive industry or high volume manufacturing with transferable skills.
  • Ability to work shifts.
  • 8D Investigation lead.
  • Calibration & MSA understanding (Desirable).
  • Containment of suspect parts.
  • Full driving license.
