Job Description

Our client Envision are an established, rapidly expanding manufacturing business currently looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North Easts highest profile manufacturing plants as they are expanding their operations at their battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland. Envision are looking for Quality Engineers to join theirQuality team in order to support current production as well as the development and operation of a world class and innovative mass manufacturing Gigafactory. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developmentsin many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.Overall Purpose:

  • To support our New Plant / New Project activities positions are now available for experienced Engineers with specialist skill sets in Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance techniques (full awareness of IATF16949:2016 is required).
  • Lithium ION Battery and/or materials background is an advantage.
Key Duties:
  • Project Quality activities - Materials Suppliers and In-house Production process Advanced Quality planning.
  • Interpret Project requirements and manage trial and launch activities for suppliers and in-house facilities.
  • Material and Component Supplier activities - from RFQ to launch.
  • Work with technical staff locally and globally within Envision AESC.
  • Utilise problem solving tools & techniques with good understanding / application of statistical methods.
  • Act as Quality Window person for external stakeholder such as Customer/Supplier.
  • Generate technical and management reports.
  • Flexibility to work and travel (including overseas) at short notice.
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Educated to minimum HNC level in an appropriate technical subject.
  • Lithium Ion Battery or materials experience is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact based decisions.
  • Experience of Supplier audit (IATF16949/VDA6.3) and Supplier introduction activities.
  • New Product Introduction experience and Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - reporting throughout the business at all levels and with all functions will be required.
  • Excellent PC Skills including MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Full driving license.
