QHSE ENGINEER VACANCY REFERENCE NUMBER 12857WASHINGTON, TYNE & WEAR PERMANENT - DAY SHIFT SALARY £45 - £50K PER ANNUMZenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for a qualified and experienced QHSE Engineer on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the North East’s leading Manufacturers who are quickly expanding.Main Purpose of RoleYou will be responsible for building on the success of the business ISO certification and expanding the company Business Management System (BMS) to include ISO14001, ISO45001 and IATF16949 whilst developing a BMS around a fast growing team and providingtechnical expertise and support to the business guiding and leading the team through the development and implementation of the new standards.Duties 1) Lead, develop and maintain the business Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management System, and report on the performance of the BMS2) Responsible for the delivery of the QHSE strategy.3) Continual improvement of the companies processes and procedures in with new legislation and regulations.4) Training of employees of QHSE procedures.5) Lead the internal and external audits covering the companies QHSE.6) To act as Health and Safety co-ordinator.7) Conduct and support risk assessments.8) Liaise with business stake holders regarding issues around QHSE.9) Managing and reporting the business level KPI’s around QHSE system.10) Undertake any other duties of which the knowledge, skills and experience required fall within a post holder’s expected capability and commensurate with the post holder’s position in the company.11) Ensure conformance to ISO9001, ISO45001 & ISO14001.Education/Qualifications Required:1) HNDDegree level in an engineering or business discipline.2) Hold a specific Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or Chartered IOSH or equivalent.3) Lead assessor auditor trained recognised by the CQIIRCAThe Person we are looking for:- 1) Five years minimum experience in a similar role.2) Must have a good working knowledge of the automotive sector and practiced in a IATF16949 environment.3) Able to understand the IATF core tools and their application within the Business Management System4) Able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of UK Health and Safety legislation.5) Understand and worked within UK Environmental legislative requirements.6) Experience of maintaining or reaching externally audited management standards such as ISO14001, ISO45001 and IATF 16949.7) Experience of working with AS9100 would also be advantageous.8) Able to demonstrate leading and managing a company Business Management System through externalcustomer auditsIf you are an experienced QHSE Engineer and would like to be considered for this role please click apply now.
