Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Project Manager to join our client based in Sunderland. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business on a salary between £40k-£55k depending on experience.THE BUSINESSThe company in question have just branched out into new sectors after having been predominately Automotive focused and have received over £6 million in new orders. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team of engineering professionals ina company that promotes the progression of their employees.THE ROLE

  • Awareness of the technical requirements of the orders
  • Plan the end to end delivery
  • Planning and forecasting resource
  • Assessing impact and producing and amending timing plans based on developments within jobs and the acquisition of new orders
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with Engineers to anticipate changes to time plans and to discuss impact of events on resources with senior team
  • Co-ordinate with client, engineer, production manager and buyer
  • Support decision making on shifting priorities as matters develop
  • Maintain a set of documentation which fits with the systems of control for the business
  • Attend and input to any update or review meetings as required
  • Escalate emerging issues appropriately, to the right person/group of people at right time.
  • Support and enable the successful delivery of jobs to time, quality and budget, adjusting for circumstances on the way
THE PERSON
  • Good educational qualifications
  • 5 years experience in similar role
  • Systems of control and ability to use IT and equipment efficiently
  • Prince 2 or equivalent project management
  • Organisational skills with agility to flex and change agreed priorities
  • Can work in and on behalf of a team, representing their interests
  • Has experience of communication at a senior level inside and outside an organisation, delivering good and bad news
