Job Description

Our client are an established, rapidly expanding automotive giant currently looking to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team.This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of a rapidly growing marketplace.Key Duties:

  • A Production Supervisor is at the heart of our operations, ensuring not only the efficient running of the manufacturing process, but also the balance of our shift-related workforce.
  • You will have responsibility for achieving our high-volume production targets; developing and implementing continuous improvement programmes as well as optimising the standardisation of operation practices using TQM processes.
  • Managing a shift-based team of up to 20 employees, you will have responsibility for leading and motivating them to achieve production, efficiency and health and safety targets.
  • Achievement within quality, cost, delivery, OEE and safety criteria.
  • Standardisation of continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Management, motivation and development of staff.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
  • Ideally qualified to Degree or HND level.
  • Min of 5 years experience delivering effectively through Team Leaders both to achieve the production plan but also identify opportunities for efficiency/improvements.
  • Experience gained within a high-volume demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Operating within exacting time, quality and cost constraints.
  • Experience in one of the following - OEM/Tier 1/Automotive/Pharmaceuticals/FMCG.
  • Lean Manufacturing principles/Kaizen practices/Just in time exposure.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement programmes for the enhancement of production efficiency and quality standards e.g. IATF16949/ ISO14001/ ISO45001.
The Package:
  • Circa £40,000 per annum + 12% shift allowance.
  • Potential to work a 6-2, 2-10 pattern or continentals depending on needs of business and which section you will be placed in. Will be confirmed upon application.
