Job Description

We are working with our manufacturing client in their search for a Production Planner. The successful candidate will work as part of the planning team and be responsible for monitoring customer demand and improving SAP master data & part level changes.   • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the customer as required, avoiding any disruption to the customer
  • Liaising with the customer and giving advance notification of any anomalies & providing an excellent level of customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring coherence of the order book and notifying senior management of any anomalies
  • Run SAP sales/mix/forecast reports to ensure plan effectiveness, report findings/results to management to analyse all deliveries
  • Co-ordinate the return/replacement of customer parts
  • Inform the logistics department or the customer in the event of a non-compliance with production commitments, if there is a risk of delivery interruption
  • Helping to create logistics department instruction sheets/procedures
  • Support logistics actions from engineering changes, ensure smooth transition between changes
  • Carry out other duties as required to support Operations and company-wide needs
The Person:
  • Previous experience using SAP within a similar role.
  • Demonstrate previous ERP experience.
  • Experienced in liaising with customers and suppliers.
  • Good understanding of supply chain of processes and their interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of MES productions systems desirable.
  • Awareness of 5s disciplines (preferred).
  • Ability to form effective working relationships with external customers
  • Pro-active & flexible work approach
  • Must be able to prioritise workload within a multi-tasking environment
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Use good initiative & quick effective communication
  • Excellent attention to detail
