Job Description

Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher (Maternity Leave)Start Date: January – August 2024Location: County Durham DH3Pay scale: £28,000 - £43,685 p.a.Commutable Areas: Gateshead, Sunderland, Jarrow, and Concord.We are looking for a committed practitioner who demonstrates consistently high expectations in all aspects of their work, are well organized, knowledgeable, and skillful in ensuring all children make excellent progress and overcome any barriers to learning.Key Stage 1 experience is essential.This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking school, which has the wellbeing of its pupils at the heart of its ethos. Our school is very much a community school, so there would be an expectation for the successful candidate to make a considerablecontribution to the wider school life.Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Is an excellent Key Stage 1 teacher.
  • Has high expectations for children’s attainment and behavior.
  • Has a clear understanding of what constitutes excellent teaching and learning.
  • A firm belief and strong commitment to inclusive education.
  • A clear understanding of how children are motivated and learn effectively.
  • Is a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated.
  • Has the ability to maintain and strengthen strong parental and community links.
