Job Description

PlumberHousing Full time, PermanentSunderland, NortheastOur team at Sellick Partnership are actively seeking a full time permanent Plumber for a social housing provider based in Sunderland, Northeast region.Plumber day to day responsibilities:

  • Carry out responsive repairs to properties including installation and maintenance of sanitary ware, plumbing/heating systems, soil and rainwater goods.
  • The installation of gas boilers, heating systems, associated pipework and components.
  • Testing, commissioning and de-commissioning of all the above components and services.
  • Complete minor builders work, and elements of multi-skilling associated with the job.
  • Be competent in the use of handheld IT systems.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as required by the current Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations.
  • To ensure all work carried out meets the minimum standards set by the British Standards, and Regulatory bodies.
Plumber ideal experience/requirements:
  • Experienced background in plumbing & heating including the installation and maintenance of boilers, fires, hot and cold-water systems, sanitary ware, soil & waste systems and rainwater goods and associated pipework.
  • Experienced in the installation, repair and maintenance of gas boilers, plumbing/heating systems and components
  • Served a recognised (Indentured) craft apprenticeship in Plumbing Or City & Guild Advanced Craft certificate in Plumbing Or NVQ level 2
  • Hold or willing to obtain a recognised qualification in water hygiene
