Our established client based in Sunderland is looking to hire a Payroll Advisor to join their talented team. With an emphasis on personal and professional growth and the chance to develop skills in several exciting area, this is a brilliant opportunity forsomeone wishing to pursue a career in payroll processing.With their remarkable reputation, our client brings something truly unique to their market - so if you join their team, youllguaranteed to get involved in high-profile projects that youll be proud to put your name to.The hours of this role are Monday to Friday, 08:00AM to 16:00PM.Purpose:* To process, manage and maintain the monthly payroll ensuring all necessary documents and changes made are processed accurately in compliance with legislation and internal audit requirements.* To administrate the Time and Attendance system to ensure all anomalies are rectified in a timely basis and provide training to all end users to enable efficient running of the system* Ensure all HR Information Systems are maintained accurately and in a timely manner (using a RTI approach in line with payroll).* To be the face of HR for all pay, reward and benefit queries; liaising with colleagues, managers and relevant third parties.* To coordinate weekly, monthly and quarterly MI reporting to ensure Company data is accurate and distributed in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:* To manage and maintain the Companys Time and Attendance system to ensure accurate processing of all T+A data for payroll and reporting purposes, including the provision of relevant training to all end users* To process, manage and maintain monthly payroll input for hourly and salaried employees using the Companys payroll system.* To support the successful introduction of Workday (HR management system) and the associated integration with the payroll system* To coordinate monthly payroll validation and authorisation in accordance with the Companys Delegation of Authority.* To manage the payroll year end process in conjunction with Finance and relevant internal stakeholders,* To manage the end of year expenses and benefit process, with support from the wider HR team.* To maintain all employee data in the Companys corporate HR Information Systems (HRIS).* To respond to all pay queries; dealing with day-to-day issues effectively, and escalating complex queries to the HR Manager, as appropriate.* To provide a solutions-based approach to the processing of payroll to maximise efficiency and accuracy, including the introduction of new, more efficient ways of working (without compromising deadlines and payroll accuracy)* To administer all employee benefits such as pension, Company Share Scheme, cycle to work scheme, healthcare and any other employee benefits, including day to day employee queries, updating benefit portal(s) and supporting benefit launches.* To prepare management reports in accordance with site and departmental KPIs, including ad hoc reporting as required.What were looking for:* CIPP or CIPD certification (L4 as a minimum).* Demonstrated experience in Payroll processing.* Demonstrated experience in working with Payroll and HR information systems (experience of working with Intelligo, Workday and Crown would be advantageous)* Confident in dealing with external stakeholders and handling queries.* Strong organisation and administration skills; meticulous attention to detail and strive for accuracy* The ability to work and achieve required outcomes in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.* Proven ability to work creatively and in an ambiguous environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.* Passionate about helping people and resolving issues.* The ability to be a self-starter and work proactively to deadlines, without the need for prompting. * Excellent communication skills.* Proven ability to prioritise workload and competing deadlines.* Demonstrated experience in launching a payroll system for an automotive site (preferred but not mandatory). Familiar with the automotive market conventions as well as the legal rules and regulations regarding payroll for all levels of employees.* High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, lookup functions are required).
