Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are representing a leading industrial services provider specializing in advanced welding solutions for a wide range of industries. their commitment to quality and innovation has made them a trusted partner for companies across theregion. As they continue to expand their operations, our client are seeking a skilled and experienced Orbital Welder with Pipefitting and TIG Welding expertise to join their team in Sunderland.Position Overview: As an Orbital Welder, you will play a vital role in our operations by performing high-quality welding and pipefitting work using advanced orbital welding equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and precisejoining of pipes and fittings using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting, TIG welding, and extensive experience with orbital welding technology.Responsibilities:

  • Perform orbital welding and pipefitting tasks according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Set up and operate orbital welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and quality welds.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality and make necessary adjustments or repairs as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project execution and timely completion.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document work activities, including welding parameters and inspections, accurately and comprehensively.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Orbital Welder, with a focus on pipefitting and TIG welding.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, particularly TIG welding.
  • Proficiency in operating orbital welding equipment and related tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in industrial settings, such as petrochemical, power generation, or manufacturing, is highly desirable.
  • Relevant certifications in welding, pipefitting, or related fields are an advantage.
