An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced ophthalmic photographer within Ophthalmology at Sunderland Eye Infirmary. SEI is a nationally renowned stand-alone Ophthalmology Unit which is part of City South Tyneside and Sunderland. Increasing activity within the department has led to a newly created post to support the current team of four staff.The successful candidate will be required to provide a wide range of photographic duties, delivering the service in a professional and safe manner. The role includes a considerable contribution to research studies as well as daily clinics and emergency cases.You will hold a registrable qualification in clinical photography and have a minimum of three years’ experience in the field of ophthalmologyYou will be flexible in your approach to workloads and able to work unsupervised.You may be required to provide teaching to other medical/nursing staff.This is a full time post however part time hours may be considered. Some out of hours working may be required. There are currently two posts available - One Fixed Term post for 12 months and one permanent post.For the Band 5 post we would expect candidates to be fully competent in operating a full range of imaging modalities including OCTA, IVF and ICG angiography, wide field imaging (Optos, Clarus), photo slit lamp, and Pentacam. The department is equipped with Heidelberg Spectralis cameras.
