  • Taking ownership of your defined customer base, driving the business forward covering both existing account management and new business development.
  • Developing appropriate strategies to grow and develop existing customer accounts, including conducting analysis and range reviews to maximise sales.
  • Preparing customer presentations and tender proposals for high value business opportunities.
  • Achieving annual sales and margin budgets.

The PersonThe key skills and qualities of an Account Manager are:
  • Proven track record in both account management and new business development.
  • Previous experience in FMCG is essential, ideally managing retail accounts.
  • A go getter with a can do attitude.
  • Experience preparing and submitting high value proposals/tenders.
  • Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
  • Drive and ambition to deliver strong sales performance across your accounts.
  • Confidence to work independently and autonomously.
