Job Description

Interaction Recruitment are currently representing a reputable Engineering company based in Sunderland, who are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter/Pipefitter to join their team on a Permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to workon diverse projects, both internally and offshore, contributing to the success of the organization. If you are a motivated individual with the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.Hourly Rate: £18 (37-hour working week, with additional hours paid at enhanced rates)Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-welded pipefitting tasks, including pipe bending, Swagelok fitting, and flange torquing.
  • Execute spool fabrication, pressure testing, and flushing activities with precision.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in metric compression/formed pipe work, twin ferrule pipe work, 37° flared flange, and JIC 37° flared pipe work.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic circuits, ensuring accurate comprehension.
  • Conduct pressure testing and hot oil flushing, if applicable.
  • Be available for overtime, working away from home and weekend work as required.
  • Communicate effectively and adhere to industry-specific health and safety requirements.
  • Possess a valid UK driving licence.
  • Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and trustworthiness.
  • Adapt to working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Always maintain a professional attitude.
  • Preferred qualifications include SBT training, experience with hand benders, and MJI 10 certification.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in non-welded pipefitting, pipe bending, Swagelok fitting, and flange torquing.
  • Familiarity with spool fabrication, pressure testing, and flushing procedures.
  • Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and standards.
  • Proficiency in metric compression/formed pipe work, twin ferrule pipe work, 37° flared flange, and JIC 37° flared pipe work is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic circuits is advantageous.
  • Experience in pressure testing and hot oil flushing is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
  • Strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations within the industry.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy work ethic.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Professional demeanour.
  • Working away from home is required for this position.
