Job Description

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new opportunity Connect Appointments is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Sunderland client on a full-time permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise while being part of a dynamic and growing team.Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - Day-shift hours
As a Mechanical Fitter, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical manufacturing (engineering) tasks
  • Work with hydraulics
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable and competent working at heights
  • Operate overhead crane/slinging (or willing to learn)
  • Work both inside the assembly area and outside in all weather conditions
  • Work overtime, including weekends when necessary
  • Meet project deadlines
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Minimum level 3 NVQ or equivalent in mechanical fitting
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
