Electrical Maintenance Technician required on a full time permanent, day shift role working for my client, a well-established Engineering firm based in Sunderland. My client is offering a good salary alongside a great benefits package and to work in asupportive and developing environment for the successful candidate.The successful Electrical Maintenance Technician will be required to undertake the following:* To efficiently fault find, repair, maintain and improve a variety of manufacturing equipment across site.* To carry out assigned or self-directed engineering tasks.* To provide an innovative proactive engineering support service to the site based on skill, experience, and initiative.* Responding to breakdowns and diagnosing faults* Repairing equipment and obtaining specialist components, parts, fixtures and fittings* To support the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment to achieve optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policies.* To implement maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve full compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime.* To help transform the engineering maintenance strategy* To positively change the performance and efficiency of new, and existing, automated machinery through continuous improvement techniques in software developments.* planning and undertaking scheduled maintenanceWHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:* Min 3 years experience in a similar role* Time served mechatronics technician with suitable experience for the position* Professional mechatronics qualification (HNC desirable)* Knowledge of machinery hydraulics, pneumatics machinery.* PC literate (Google/Microsoft applications)* Be well motivated and have the determination to develop your skills further within the Engineering team.* Forklift license desirable but not essentialBENEFITS:* Healthy employers pension contribution* Competitive salary* 25 days Holiday plus bank holidays* Long service awards* Free parking* Company uniform* Working hours: Mon to Thur 7:30am to 16:15 & Fri 7:30am to 13:30BMC Recruitment Group treats all applications equally and confidentially, we review all submissions.
