Job Description

Our international manufacturing client based in Sunderland is looking for a Logisitics Supervisor to join them on a permanent basis.Job Role

  • Report to the MP&L Manager & will be responsible for the day to day operation of Logistics
  • The will coordinate shifts and ensuring the teams have a high skills coverage to complete inbound & outbound deliveries on a daily basis with high accuracy
  • Controlling a busy goods in/stores area, MHE driver management is key
  • Monitoring MHE drivers through driving and process audits, will feed into controlling material into the warehouse safely
  • Producing daily KPIs, SAP reports and Inventory levels you will execute and implement controlled ideas/improvements through planned projects using your resource
  • Enthusiasm to coach and train the Logistics team to solve problems will be necessary
  • Develop a logistics team, ensuring that team performance meets expectations, reporting to the MP&L Manager daily
  • Carrying our regular audits of processes & procedures, striving for adherence to process & updating SOPs/training documents actively
  • Manage relevant documentation to the role, including but not limited to KPIs; skills matrices; standard work lists, handovers etc.
    • Skills/Experience
  • Prior Senior Position in a high pressure Logistics Environment
  • Thorough understanding of KANBAN/ JIT processes
  • Experience of using a MRP System
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
    • The role could involve shift work and if the case a shift allwoance will be paid in addition to salary. Required skills
