Job Description

PurposeAs the logistics operator, you will be using the latest equipment and systems, including ASRS (auto storage and retrieval racking system), Mobysis and SAP. You will be required to meet JIT/JIS deliveries, complete transfer orders and have a hands-on involvement in the day to day processing.Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Creating transfer requests & fulfilling transfer orders
  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed
  • Line side & Goods in loading/off loading
  • Safely stacking of containers
  • Checking deliveries against advice notes
  • Prioritize stock accuracy across & support with stock takes
  • To pick & pack parts to internal/external specifications
  • Scanning material via RF scanner
  • Maintaining FIFO
  • Carrying out general forklift actives e.g. sign off & upkeep of MHE
  • Conforming to risk assessments
  • Ensure all safe working procedures are followed
  • Keep plant and site to a high level of 5s
  • Contribute to the logistics function
  • Raise any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Exercise MAFACT adherence & visual standards.
  • Demonstrate good timekeeping & disciplinary record
  • Ensure a safe working environment & excellent housekeeping standards
  • Other duties commensurate to the role.
  • Job Requirements
  • Understanding of Health & Safety requirements within manufacturing
  • MHE Licenses (Counterbalance and/or Tow Tractor)
  • Understanding of KANBAN/ JIT processes
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure
  • Experience of working within logistics function (primarily within automotive)
  • Experience of carrying out FIFO
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to complete documentation clearly & accurately
  • Position is temporary to permanent after 12 weeksIt is a 2 Shift pattern and they are as follows:Monday till Thursday 06:30 - 15:00 & Friday 06:30 - 14:00Monday till Thursday 15:00 - 23:30 & Friday 14:00 - 21:30Pay rate is £10.21 including Shift AllowanceOvertime Rate is time and a half after 39 hours of work.
