Job Description

Our client, designs, builds, and operates communication infrastructures across the globe and theyre looking for an experienced Lead Technical Architect to join their team.As the Lead Technical Architect, you will be accountable for the design architecture and seamless implementation of end-to-end small cell and smart city technical solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the 5G Core, RAN, backhaul, Wi-Fi and Sensor vendors to ensure the design and architecture meets requirements.
  • Ensure all RF planning and design surveys are carried out to time and cost engaging key stakeholders as the programme develops.
  • Ensure that our 5G small cell network solution is deployed meets the design criteria and modelling.
  • Develop and implement security processes and protocols for the network.
  • Engage with Customers working in partnership with the Business Development Lead as our technical solution expert.
  • Develop presentations and proposals to support pre-sales activities.
  • Partner with suppliers to agree technical requirements and validate the quality/performance of their products.
  • Work with installation companies and suppliers to create budgetary estimates for proposed solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects / sales initiatives simultaneously.
Technical Skills Required
  • Proven experience with implementing Small Cells solution
  • Experience of building / launching experimental / trial networks.
  • Modelling knowledge - Forsk Atoll, RANPlan or similar
  • Competent in application of 5G New Radio and small cells network with proven experience of operating at strategic level and implementing the finer details
  • Experience working with 5G Core and private network solutions.
  • Ability to articulate the technical benefits of a proposed solution vs. competitive offerings
  • Knowledge of outsourcing SLAs / business terms, processes for obtaining market based pricing
Formal Qualifications / Certificates Required
  • Bachelor in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, preferred
  • Fluency in Cloud architectures (AWS or other) would be an advantage, as would IP certification.
