Job Description

Year 4 Teacher RequiredSunderlandA Key Stage 2 teaching opportunity has arisen in a primary school situated in a sought after area of Sunderland. The children within this school make great progress due to the enthusiastic and motivational lessons currently being delivered. This has leadto the desire to employ a driven, confident teacher to work within a Year 4 Classroom of 30 flourishing and vibrant children who require assistance with their current knowledge of the curriculum. The School were marked Good by Ofsted and pride themselvesin their aim to provide the highest quality of education in order for their students to succeed. Located near the centre of Sunderland, the School is easily accessible with metro routes and public transport less than 5 minutes walk away. The position is aFull Time role set to begin in March 2023 and will be ongoing till the end of academic year with potential to secure a permanent position.Details of role:

  • Teaching a Year 4 Class of 30 pupils with 1 Teaching Assistant
  • Must use initiative and present excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Be responsible for presenting and preparing lesson plans that cater to the needs of all abilities
  • Marking work to promote and facilitate Positive Pupil Development
  • Located close to local bus links with free car parking available on the school grounds
The role requires:
  • UK recognised QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Knowledge in regard to current Key Stage 2 curriculum
  • A passion to deliver the highest quality of education through a range of enrichment activities and creative teaching
  • Willingness to make a difference to assist the school in meeting requirements and raising standards
  • Valid DBS (A Child Workforce certificate that is accessible through the Update Service)
  • Eligible to work in the UK (Right to work in the UK documentation)
