Job Description

Junior ChemistLocation: SunderlandSalary: £23,500 - £25,500CY Partners are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Chemist to join a growing Pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will assist in the development, synthesis and optimization of new and existing pharmaceutical products.Responsibilities:

  • Synthesise Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) on a scale of milligrams to kilos.
  • Assist in the design and execution of experiments to support the development of new and existing products.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments following established protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support the development of new projects.
  • Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
