Job Description

  • You will be working with the latest information systems / technology and systems management techniques designed to support advanced manufacturing processes and critical business operations. You will help drive continual improvements whilst preserving the highest quality and performance levels. Your skills and ideas will be welcomed and serve to strengthen our existing highly skilled IS IT team who will support and assist you in your career journey.
    • Outline and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with SAP ERP and bought in system related projects, improvements, optimizations, customizations and changes.
  • Problem management, investigating, fault-finding, identifying the root cause and implementing permanent fixes.
  • Working closely with the SAP ERP systems subject matter expert and assisting IS IT colleagues from the 24 x7 systems support part of the team.
  • Liaising with various parties e.g. local system users, colleagues from other battery plants, 3rd party providers, Global / Head office
  • Regular reporting within both IS IT and business management.
    • Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Educated to degree level in a related discipline.
  • Experience of working in IS IT supporting and developing SAP ERP and bought in systems is preferred.
  • Experience of assisting with related IS IT projects, changes and planning activities is preferred.
  • Ideally the candidate should have demonstrable knowledge / experience of SAP ERP modules (MM, PP, FI, SD) processes and configuration in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of ERP integration with external systems is beneficial.
  • Experience working with EDI platforms and transformation solutions is preferred.
  • System development experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Programming and application development in a mainstream language i.e. Java, C#.
  • Use of Source Code Management/Version Control platforms.
  • SQL development on common Database platforms i.e. Oracle/MS-SQL
  • Design and architecture of System Integration solutions and Middleware platforms.
  • Expertise in related system problem solving / problem resolution.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • A good track record of reliability and consistent performance.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally.
