Job Description

  • You will be working with the latest information systems / technology and systems management techniques designed to support advanced manufacturing processes and critical business operations. You will help drive continual improvements whilst preserving the highest quality and performance levels. Your skills and ideas will be welcomed and serve to strengthen our existing highly skilled IS IT team who will support and assist you in your career journey.
    • Outline and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with manufacturing systems related projects, improvements, optimizations and changes.
  • Problem management (involving troubleshooting and analysis) of issues with manufacturing systems, in order to implement circumventions, permanent fixes and improvements.
  • Working closely with the manufacturing systems subject matter expert and assisting IS IT colleagues from the 24 x7 systems support part of the team.
  • Liaising with various parties e.g. local system users, Maintenance, QA and Engineering teams, along with colleagues from other battery plants, 3rd party providers, Global / Head Office.
  • Regular reporting within both IS IT and business management.
    • Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Educated to degree level in a related discipline.
  • Experience of working in IS IT would be preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing and supporting shop-floor related SCADA systems is preferred.
  • System development experience in the following areas is preferred:
  • Visual Studio, VB.Net, C#, Java, ASP.Net
  • Database DML Development and Administrative Control
  • Middleware development, batch, PowerShell, Microsoft 365 or Restful API etc
  • Expertise in systems related problem resolution.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  • A good track record of reliability and consistent performance.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
