Job Description

A global tech house is looking for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their North East based team. This company has a market leading presence and need a passionate information security analyst to be at the heart of theirprojectsYou will be joining a high calibre team of Information Security Analysts who to assist with designing, implementing, and managing security solutions across both enterprise and cloud environments. One of your key responsibilities will be development of a vulnerability management programme, working with a variety of stakeholders across the business and collaborate with a variety of technical teams. You will further assist with security event monitoring, threat intelligence, investigations, and incident management. You will need to share your passion for information security to ensure that all employees are committed to data protection.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Understand security threat intelligence to ensure the company is in strong position to mitigate threats
  • Lead the ongoing improvement of the vulnerability management programme.
  • Penetration and vulnerability testing across our systems
  • Lead in the creation and adoption of security policies, standards and processes throughout the business
  • Define operation security requirments and impliment appropriate controls
  • Monitor for security incidents and take part in incident response teams to contain, investigate, and prevent future security incidents
  • Identify solutions and controls which promote security automation best practices
  • Mentor and guide less experienced members of the team
  • Make recommendations as to how we can improve the security function to align with new and emerging technologies
Experience required to apply for this position:
  • Experience working with ISO27001 standards, PCI-DSS and GDPR
  • Hands on technical experience designing, implementing and supporting security solutions in enterprise and cloud environments
  • Understanding of security technologies and principles in application, infrastructure, network, endpoint security and cloud
  • Experience working within an Agile or DevOps team would be advantageous
  • A strong desire to learn and progress within a company
  • Experience working with AWS, Windows, Linux and Mac operating Systems
  • Strong communication skills across the business
  • Confidence to suggest improvements in regards to processes across the business
