Job Description

The RoleThe indirect buyer will be responsible for:

  • Sourcing and onboarding new suppliers
  • Negotiate costs and contracts
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Strategic sourcing of goods/ services
  • Analyse trends to discover the most cost effective prices
  • Mitigate risk within supply chain
The BusinessNigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Division are working closely with a well established specialist manufacturer to recruit an Indirect Buyer to support significant business growth.The IndividualThe ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Proven indirectprocurement experience, ideally from manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of material flow (i.e. tactical purchasing/planning) essential – able to ‘hit the ground running’
  • Previous negotiation experience essential
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills – confident to challenge and represent Purchasing in internal Project meetings
  • Resilient and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
  • Proactive, assertive, confident decision maker
  • Hands-on, can do attitude – willing to get involved in work to support the wider team and Business as a whole
  • Analytical Individual
