As the HR & Payroll Officer, you will provide generalist HR support to the business functions. Thiswill include recruitment, absence management, employee relations, and training. You will also provide a professional payroll service in line with legislation and statutory requirements.Responsibilities of the HR & Payroll Officer will include:- Supporting recruitment activities including advertising jobs, liaising with external agencies, new starter offers and employment contracts, reference requests, and managing the delivery of the induction process- Keeping absence data up to date and working with functional teams to ensure all processes and meetings are on time- Liaising with Occupational Health providers to arrange appointments and health surveillance activities- Supporting functional teams with formal absence meetings- Advising on first-line HR queries- Supporting formal investigation meetings including note-taking and coaching and development of supervisors and managers- Supporting ER case managementdisciplinary, performance management, and grievances- Managing training requests, compile composite lists of training needs, and issue certificates- Working with functional teams to ensure all legal training and refresher training is carried out within required timescales- Taking responsibility for the monthly pay cycle, ensuring all amendments are input within required timescales- Validation of payroll prior to BACs submission- Answering pay queries from employees and investigating root cause to prevent reoccurrence- Reconciling pension schemes including auto enrolments and submitting monthly pension contributions- Maintaining and updating various databases and record logs as and when required- Processing purchase orders and invoices- Undertaking all HR admin duties as required by the role or requested by HR Lead- Supporting the promotion of Company strategy and values and rollout activities as required- Ensuring compliance-related activities are supported to ensure that the plant targets are achievedWhat we are looking for in our ideal HR & Payroll Officer:- CIPD qualification preferred- Experience of administering payroll and pension schemes- HR experience in a generalist role- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)- Experience of working in a fast-paced and demanding environmentSo, if you have a passion for HR and enjoy employee relations, why not join us as our HR & Payroll Officer, click apply below - we want to hear from you!
