Job Description

HR Assistant / HR Administrator who has worked within Human Resources and understands HR processes and recruitment, covering the whole employee lifecycle as well as providing full generalist HR administrative support is required for a well-establishedcharity based in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, North East England.SALARY: £23,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits (see below)LOCATION: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, North East England (100% Office Based)JOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for an HR Assistant / HR Administratorwho has worked within Human Resources and understands HR processes and recruitment, covering the whole employee lifecycle as well as providing full generalist HR administrativesupport.Working as a HR Assistant / HR Administrator you will be responsible for undertaking administrative HR tasks and processes in an accurate and timely manner to ensure comprehensive employee and business support and legal compliance.As an HR Assistant / HR Administrator you will work closely with the HR Manager to provide generalist support to key stakeholders with the opportunity to learn and develop your experience in a generalist background.APPLY TODAYIf this job looks like your ideal position, then please send in your CV as soon as possible for our Recruitment Team to review.DUTIESYour duties as an HR Assistant / HR Administrator will include:

  • Recruitment and on-boarding process
  • Maintaining up-to-date employee records on the HRIS including personal and employment details, holidays and absences and disciplinary and grievance records
  • Assisting with formatting and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Processing leavers
  • Taking minutes at formal meetings
  • Dealing with calls, emails and internal queries
  • General office duties and administrative duties for the HR department and other Head Office departments if requested from time to time
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSEssential
  • Hold a strong team ethic with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Able to prioritise and organise effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to plan for and meet scheduled and ad-hoc deadlines
  • Able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and professionalism
Desirable
  • CIPD Level 3 or willing to work towards
