Job Description

Head of Engineering (Front End React Vue) *Hybrid / Sunderland* up to £120k + bonusesAre you looking for a strategic and high-level role within a highly collaborative, social, and friendly work environmentMarket leading games studio is seeking a skilled Head of Engineering to join their rapidly expanding team based in Sunderland.Salary & Benefits:

Your Role:As a Head of Engineering, you will be heading up the Front End / UXUI team of around 80 who focus on creating the technology that provides players with industry leading journeys and experiences. You will be playing a pivotal role in shaping and executingthe player centric technology strategy by leading the engineering team, collaborating cross-functionally with various teams, and designing and developing technical solutions that will enable exceptional player experiences.This is a fantastic time to join the business as they begin to white label their product suite, revamp their UXUI, and restructure their engineering teams, so there is a huge scope of exciting projects in the pipeline and lots of opportunity to have impact.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a cross-functional team to build the technology that provides players with leading journeys and experiences
  • Developing and executing a robust technical roadmap that aligns with the overall strategy
  • Lead and mentor cross functional teams and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Drive the end-to-end development process from design to implementation and deployment
  • Establish engineering best practises that will improve the customer experience
  • Communicate clearly with key stakeholders
Office & WFH:The company have brand new, modern offices with parking based in Sunderland. You will be required in the office 3 days a week for this role.Requirements:
  • You are an experienced technologist who has a deep understand of front end technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Vue
  • You are experienced in leading large cross-functional development teams
  • You have a background either in software house or E-commerce environments
  • You have an excellent leadership approach and can motivate and inspire others
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills
  • You are a down to earth, engaging, and approachable person
  • You ideally have a background in gaming environments
