Job Description

The OpportunityAs this international tech business continues to expand, they are looking to recruit a Data Protection Manager, with both passion and expertise in this field to take forward the delivery of the data protection roadmap. Hybrid working and numerous other employeebenefits exist in a business well known for offering great career growth.The RoleBuilding on existing data protection and GDPR capabilities within the business you will ensure appropriate processes, systems and structures are in place to manage compliance within companys data protection obligations. This will include leading the deliveryof end-to-end processes, monitoring compliance, reporting on key controls and for instilling a strong data protection culture within the business. Specifically you will:

  • Provide data protection training, awareness and communication, including staff mandatory training, specific training workshops, advice and guidance and communications to the business on a regular basis.
  • Ensure oversight and manage processes for subject right requests and customer queries/complaints concerning data protection.
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory engagements with the ICO and equivalent European regulatory bodies.
  • Lead and manage resources within the data protection team and be responsible for development and delivery associated programmes, roadmaps and supporting projects.
The RequirementsWith proven knowledge and experience of data protection regulations, laws and requirements ideally within a regulated industry, you will have strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to accurately identify key issues and communicate thembroadly, including to senior leaders and possess understanding and experience of digital advertising techniques, cookies and web tracking technologies.Any industry recognised professional qualification in data protection, such as the CIPP/e, CIPM and/or CIPT qualifications through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), would be beneficial though not essential.Most importantly you will be passionate about data protection, have an interest in tech, be a great team player and self-starter and thrive onworking in a fast-paced environment offering ideas and insights.
