The Recruitment Co. are seeking an enthusiastic Facilities Supervisor to work within the domestic and linen department.This role is based at Sunderland Royal Hospital, also covering all CHoiCE sites as required.Hours per week: 40 - normal working hours are on a rota basis across a seven day period, you must be fully flexible as you would need to be able to provide 24/7 cover in line with the service needs, to be able to cover annual leave, sicknessand bank holiday periods.Key Requirements:- GCSE or equivalent qualification to include Maths and English- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification or substantial experience in a support service roie with the equivalent knowledge- A good level of knowledge relating to catering/domestic/porter functions within a healthcare environment- Previous experience of working in a support service function- Current driving licenceThe successful candidates will take day-to-day responsibility for the domestic and linen teams, utilising the Facilities staff to overcome each challenge presented. You will be responsible for:- Day-to-day management of Soft FM staff to provide efficient and effective Facilities services to all wards and departments within CHoiCE operated sites and support the delivery of excellent patient care, ensuring the service is responsive to the demands placedupon it.- To supervise and prioritise work and direct staff accordingly to ensure optimum use of resources across all CHoiCE sites.- To ensure duties carried out by Facilities staff are completed accurately and in a timely manner.- Working closely with Facilities Management team and the clinical site managers and on call teams out of hours, weekends, and normal office hours to prioritise operational requirements.- To undertake a rotary shift pattern providing 24/7 cover- To assist the Heads of Department and deputies in managing the duties and performance of the staff within Soft FM.- To contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of all Soft FM services.- Supervise all aspects required for the delivery of a high quality Soft FM, ensuring that all service staff are correctly trained to fulfil their role and that the service is in line with customer needs.Benefits:Access to WorkA scheme administered by JobCentre Plus that exists to help disabled people fulfil their potential at work.
