Job Description

Facilities ManagerPermanent £45k SunderlandSellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Facilities Manager for a large social housing organisation based in Sunderland.The facilities manager will deliver a facilities management service for all of the Groups operational properties and assets.Responsibilities of the Facilities Manager:

  • Support where required in the management of the organisations non-social housing assets including non-social residential properties, commercial and land
  • Provide and source suitable property and rental valuation services in line with the organisations policies and charitable status
  • Deliver a facilities management service that improves and supports the organisation by delivering all required services and infrastructure to achieve business objectives
  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of the investment programme for operational properties
  • Coordinate the effective repairing and maintenance of operational properties including H&S safety checks
  • Assist Director of Property Maintenance with financial planning, budget setting and budget optimisation for both the investment plan and day to day maintenance for operational properties
  • Work with the Procurement Team in order to harmonise all hard and soft service contracts relating to operational properties and ensure value for money
  • Procure and manage contracts for the maintenance and improvement of operational buildings and facilities
Requirements of the Facilities manager:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar facilities management position within a social housing organisation
  • Degree in a subject related to property
  • Membership of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (or working towards)
  • CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme certificate or equivalent
