Job Description

Engineering Manager *Hybrid / Sunderland* Up to £100k salary + bonusesAre you looking for a strategic and high-level role within a highly collaborative, social, and friendly work environmentMarket leading games studio is seeking a skilled Engineering Manager to join their rapidly expanding team based in Sunderland.Salary & Benefits:

Your Role:As an Engineering Manager, you will take on a key leadership role within an engineering team of 40, ensuring that the cross-functional teams have a fantastic culture and mode of operating. You will help to build an effective and dedicated engineering teamby coaching and developing them to bring out their best.This is a fantastic time to join the business as they begin to white label their product suite, revamp their UXUI, and restructure their engineering teams, so there is a huge scope of exciting projects in the pipeline and lots of opportunity to have impact.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a cross-functional team focusing on - people development, coaching, succession plans, creating new team processes, developing talent, driving engagement
  • Lead and mentor cross functional teams and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Providing technical guidance when the team are addressing complex engineering challenges
  • Promoting and facilitating Agile processes
  • Communicate clearly with key stakeholders
Office & WFH:The company have brand new, modern offices with parking based in Sunderland. You will be required in the office 3 days a week for this role.Requirements:
  • You are experienced in leading large cross-functional development teams
  • You have a sound technical background, although this will not be a hands-on technical role
  • You have a background either in software house or E-commerce environments
  • You have a background in a modern cloud-based tech environment
  • You have an excellent leadership approach and can motivate and inspire others
  • You are a down to earth, engaging, and approachable person
  • You ideally have a background in gaming environments
