Job Description

WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOUWestray Recruitment Group are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our client based in Sunderland. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business on a salary between £30k-£50k depending on experience.THE BUSINESSThe company in question have just branched out into new sectors after having been predominately Automotive focused and have received over £6 million in new orders. The successful candidate will be joining a close-knit team of engineering professionals ina company that promotes the progression of their employees.THE ROLE

  • Electrical design of equipment for special purpose machines, robot facilities and other control systems.
  • Be able to interpret customer design specifications, produce well organised detailed drawings and schematics.
  • Occasionally there may be other engineering activities to perform, however the emphasis of the role will be to create electrical designs using the Eplan P8 design software.
  • Design aspect of Robotics, Jig Tooling and bespoke assembly machinery.
THE PERSON
  • Electrical engineering background.
  • Previous experience working with automotive sector would be a distinct advantage but not essential
  • Experience in the Electrical Design aspect of Bespoke assembly machinery would be preferred.
  • Experience in the Electrical Design aspect of Robotics and Jig Tooling would be an advantage.
  • Have experience of Fluid power systems
  • Experience of creating BOM and Layout diagrams.
  • Extensive knowledge of Eplan P8 is essential
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD- (would be beneficial)
  • Knowledge of the Machinery Directive and associated standards
  • Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition
  • Understand / Develop and Produce, Health and Safety Design Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
  • Ensure systems designs are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive
  • Able to work to BS EN 60204-1. BS EN 13849-1, BS EN 13850, BS EN 619 and other relevant standards
  • Good understanding of Industrial Networks i.e. Profinet, Profibus, DeviceNET, CC Link IE. AS-I
  • Produce electrical schematics according to IC 81346-1:2009
  • Project management, procurement, assistance to manufacture and production.
